Director - Business Development
Location: San Diego, CA
Working with our executive and technical teams, the Director, Business Development provides solutions to client website needs, coordinates solution support, and delivers consultative services to both clients and strategic partners. The Director, Business Development will be responsible for achieving sales goals, building and maintaining account relationships, and ensuring that clients receive the best overall experience throughout the sales cycle and beyond.
Primary responsibilities include the need to help clients identify website and overall business issues and opportunities, help architect website and eCommerce solutions that potentially fully integrate into the client’s ERP environment, develop and present detailed solutions to client needs, provide account management, participate in tradeshows and webinars, and train the sales/marketing groups on Automatic solutions and products.
The main position qualifications, include:
- 5+ years previous experience in website development, eCommerce, and ERP integration in a Fortune 1000 environment
- Able to communicate & present professionally technical and business information to widely varied audiences; from programmer to "C" level
- Strong analytical skills including the ability to capture and understand business processes, problems, pains, and technical requirements
- Ability to develop a broad awareness of the client's technical architecture/environment and emerging technologies with enough knowledge to determine what is and is not possible within Automatic’s core capabilities
- Knowledge of back office (databases, programming tools, management tools) and front office (workstations, software distribution) technologies
- Willingness to multi-task & travel as necessary to fulfill the job requirements

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Management, Business, Engineering or a related field and possess 5-10 years of Business Development experience.
